01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

The colourful macarons lined up across the display showcase offer a classic French indulgence, balancing a delicate, crisp outer shell with a soft, tender interior. Each flavour displays a distinct personality: Chocolat sandwiches a rich dark chocolate ganache, Vanille carries the gentle aroma of Madagascan vanilla, and Framboise is filled with tart fruit confiture. From the refreshing tang of lemon cream in the Citron and the nutty depth of Pistache to the fragrant Thé Marie-Antoinette infused with the house tea blend, selections can be tailored to personal taste starting from 1 piece.

Alongside the macarons, the Eugénie stands out: a crisp sablé layered with a melting core and encased in chocolate. Varied textures and rich aromas unfold in options like Sicilian pistachio praline, caramel accented with fleur de sel, and a rose-and-lychee filling. Bostock, a viennoiserie exclusive to the Nihonbashi boutique, is also offered as a takeout option.

Buttery financiers and madeleines, baked with a lightly crisp exterior and a moist centre, come in gift-ready assortments suited to formal offerings and souvenirs alike. Situated on the B1 floor of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store's main building, the counter caters to everything from casual tea-time treats to elaborate celebratory boxes.
